You are invited to a platica or dialogue with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) survivors of domestic and dating violence and their families and friends. We will gather to listen to their stories, take notes, and discuss how we can end abuse in our community, including the LGBT community. Following this discussion, Get the Word Out will outline events for Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2008. Please confirm by Tuesday May 27 that you or a representative of your organization will attend. Please invite any LGBT survivors you may know to this special gathering. Thank you for support.

PFLAG El Paso -- Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays

A new project " STRAIGHT FOR EQUALITY ", recently initiated by PFLAG National will be introduced at this meeting. GLBT and STRAIGHT persons are encouraged to invite family and friends to be a part of this project that will let straight people know that their support of the GLBT community is welcome and encouraged. The GLBT community cannot achieve equality without the support of dedicated straight allies.
